Our Trustees work together to govern and develop the charity, ensuring that the work we do and goals of the organisation are in line with our vision, mission and values. They each play a key role and supporting the organisation and we are extremely privileged to have such a supportive Board who passionately believe in the services we provide to disabled children, young people their families.
|Oscar worked in the financial and investment industry before becoming a consultant for a variety of businesses in a number of different sectors. He is a Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman and is a Fellow of the CIPD. He is Chairman of his Livery Company Charity Committee and a Member of the Court of Assistants.
Oscar joined Springboard as a trustee in 2008, so he could help the organisation develop further and use his skills in supporting a local community organisation.
|Alan has a wealth of experience in health care, working in the NHS from 1972-2013. His work largely consisted of working in, Crawley, Horsham and East Surrey hospitals as a consultant physician specialising in Acute and General Medicine, care of older people and Gastroenterology.
In addition to his clinical work, he held management roles as Director of Medical Education, Regional Advisor to the Royal College of Physicians and Clinical Director for Medicine and Emergency Care. He is also a governor for at Muntham House School, a leading special school working with boys aged 8-18.
|Geoff started first engaged with Springboard as a parent, bring his son to our centre weekly. After seeing the positive change in his son from attending Springboard, he wanted to work with the organisation to ensure that other families are able to experience the impact he has.
Geoff runs a film company making a range of films and videos, using the medium as a tool to tell stories. Aged 11, Geoff saw a film with a time travelling robot, which led to his love of filmmaking, but the question is, can you guess what film?
We are really lucky have patrons who support the charity in the local community. Our patrons help us raise funds to provide support to disabled children, young people and their families as well as help to raise awareness about disability and the challenges the families we work face.
|Tom’s been entertaining children for over 10 years, whether it be a party, corporate event or his recent one man show which he took to Edinburgh fringe. Tom is a loved figure within children’s entertainment and a fantastic patron to Springboard.
